Commercial Use: +100% the cost of the commission for 2 year exclusivity licensing upon delivery of the art, with the option to extend exclusive rights at the end of the term (further licensing cost tbd). Or +300% the cost of the commission for full commercial rights/transference of copyright. This is in addition to the cost of the commission itself.

MaterialsPaper: I use Bee Watercolor Paper for 6"x9" paintings. For 9"x12" and up, I use Arches Cold Press. Arches Rough or Hot Press (smooth) are available upon request.
Watercolor Paint: QOR and Daniel Smith watercolors. For metallics, I use Finetec/Coliro.
Spray Paint: Montana Gold, Krylon, Rustoleum
Highlights: Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof white.

Terms

  • All commissions are for personal use only unless commercial rights have been agreed to and paid to per below.

  • Please note that requesting a commission does not automatically grant the commissioner copyright over the image. Copyright of the image remains with the artist by default. This is true regardless of what you have commissioned. If your request falls under commercial use, please see below.

  • Commercial Use: 100% the cost of the commission for 2 year exclusivity licensing upon delivery of the art, with the option to extend exclusive rights at the end of the term (further licensing cost tbd). Or 300% the cost of the commission (this is in addition to the cost of the commission) for full commercial rights/transference of copyright.

  • Time to complete: 2-5 weeks depending upon complexity and current volume. I will no do rush requests.

  • Shipping: Shipping cost is calculated at invoicing and both it and shipping time varies by your location. I offer USPS first class parcel by default. Other carriers and/or expedited shipping services are available upon request.

  • Prices listed are base prices. I will advise if your request would incur any additional costs prior to invoicing.

  • Mix and match posing is okay. (E.g. Character A is 3/4 body and Character B is half body. You will be charged the half body rate for Character B.)

  • Payment is 100% up front via Square.

  • By default, I retain all copyright and distribution rights to my artwork. (I can make and sell prints if I so choose. Exception: Prints will not be made available of personal profile portraits or fanart created for specific fics without commissioner's blessing.)

  • I will post completed works to my social media and/or use in my portfolio for promotion unless requested otherwise. Completely private commissions incur an additional fee of 50%.

  • I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason.

  • References:

  • 3 visual references are required for original characters.

  • For photo references of real people, please include multiple pictures, especially, if you are requesting an angle you do not have photographed.

  • Please send any references to: [email protected]

  • Pose references and background references are welcomed and encouraged.

  • Revisions:

  • A major revision is a significant change to the art, such as a change in pose in the drawing stage or re-rendering the face in the painting stage.

  • A minor revision would be something like adding more highlights to the hair.

  • Available revisions: One major composition revision in drawing stage. Major revisions are not possible in the painting stage due to the nature of watercolor. Minor revisions may be possible on a case by case basis, depending on the requested changes.

  • Refund policy:

  • No refund once painting is underway.

  • Partial refund if process is stopped at the drawing stage. (85% refund of commission fee. 100% of the shipping fee.)

  • In the rare event that I am unable to complete your commission, you will receive a partial refund dependent upon percentage of work completed.

  • By commissioning me, this means you have properly read, understand, and agree to the terms listed above and on the invoice.

ProcessFill out the commission form, and I will contact you within two business days to discuss your commission. If your commission is accepted, I will provide a quote for your request and invoice you upon approval. 100% payment is due prior to starting the commission.I will email you the line art for approval. Any requested changes to the composition need to be done at this stage. Once approved, I will finish your piece and email you a photo of the finished piece for final approval and ship the physical painting to your address.
